August 1, 1947 - November 17, 2005

      Dean F. Barton, of Fogelsville, PA, died at age 58 on November 17, 2005, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA. He was the husband of Brenda D. (Davis) Barton. He was born in West Chester, PA, on August 1, 1947, to C. Francis and Kathryn (Goodwin) Barton, now deceased. Dean worked as a clinical supervisor in the Provider 50 Program at Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit, Schnecksville, for five years until 2001. He was also a psychiatric social worker for 20 years at Muhlenberg Hospital Center, Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, of which he was the supervisor for the last 10 years. He earned a masters degree in social work in 1982 from Marywood College, Scranton, PA, and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War in the Army as a social work psychology specialist. 

      He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown and the Pennsylvania Veterans Association.  In addition to his wife of 34 years, his son, Nathan D. Barton; daughter, Adriane E. Barton; and sister, Sandra, also survived Dean.
